A few months after the founding of Friends & Fiction, the authors realized something was missing: a grassroots book club, where readers could delve even deeper into discussing the books they’re reading, including books by founding authors Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, Kristy Woodson Harvey, and Patti Callahan Henry. The idea for the Friends & Fiction Official Book Club was born, and now, it is run by avid readers (and good friends of the Fab Four!) Brenda Gardner and Lisa Harrison.
The Zibby Award-winning Friends & Fiction Official Book Club with Brenda & Lisa is a tightly knit, supportive group of book lovers and writers. They host monthly book club discussions with authors (including the Fab Four) streamed live to Facebook, special bookish events, and quarterly happy hours with librarian and Friends & Fiction Writers’ Block podcast host Ron Block. Moderator Annissa Armstrong leads the annual reading challenge and monthly Saturday giveaways.
