A Special “Just Us” Episode with the Fab Four TONIGHT!Weekly News from Friends & Fiction—March 18, 2026Tune in at 7pm ET for TONIGHT’s episode! Join us Wednesday, March 18th at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as the full F&F family — Mary Kay Andrews, Kristin Harmel, Kristy Woodson Harvey & Patti Callahan Henry — gathers with Managing Director Meg Walker and Producer Shaun Hettinger for a special “just us” episode. We’ve got another F&F family episode of our show, but this time we are joined by our tech guru and #1 cabana boy Shaun for a super fun musical discussion. Shaun is a talented musician who has been in several bands and written lots of film scores and soundtracks. When he told us he has a new single dropping on March 20th (and a full album coming this fall!), we knew we wanted to talk to him about it. This leads to a fun group chat about the music that has shaped and inspired us and the role music plays in our creative lives. We hope you’ll tune in and enjoy the old-school camaraderie that’s the heart and soul of Friends & Fiction! Watch the video broadcast as it airs on Wed 3/18 at 7pm ET on the F&F Facebook group page & YouTube channel. Catch the audio version on our podcast Fri 3/20. Remember you can support our show, its hosts, our guests, and indie bookstores nationwide by shopping in our F&F Shop on Bookshop.org! Latest News from the Fab Four!MARY KAY ANDREWS enjoyed a week of glorious spring-like temperatures—until it started sleeting in Atlanta on Monday. She was thrilled to watch granddaughter Molly cheerleading as her high school captured their first-ever state basketball championship—Go Golden Lions! On Tuesday her family celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with husband Tom’s corned beef and cabbage while listening to holiday appropriate music—and she sent out her newsletter packed with news about Road Trip, a pre-order offer from Nantucket Book Partners, and the Atlanta launch party. Are you signed up? KRISTIN HARMEL is off this week, enjoying her son Noah’s spring break (though she admits to sneaking away to get some writing done!). She attended a wedding over the weekend, where the bride cleverly sat her next to a debut author named Jennifer Mandula, whose first novel, The Geomagician, comes out on March 31 and sounds fabulous. (It’s a truly original-sounding Victorian historical romantasy about a fossil hunter who discovers a baby pterodactyl and vows to protect him, with the help of a fellow scholar—her former fiancé.) She’s so excited that Friends & Fiction’s amazing producer Shaun Hettinger, who we all know and love, has a new single coming out this Friday. You can find out more (including where to listen to it) here. KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY is on a “workcation” in the Bahamas this week while her boys are fishing, fishing, and fishing some more! She is reading FALLING FOR PEACHTREE BLUFF for the last time… What? How did that happen so quickly? And brought along her snazzy new tripod to film lots of behind-the-scenes video for SUMMER STATE OF MIND. Speaking of… Both the Nantucket Books Preorder and The Friends & Fiction Subscription are more than ⅔ sold out. And, once they’re gone, they’re gone. So snag yours before it’s too late! Thanks for all the support! One more reminder that Kristy will be in Oak Ridge, Tennessee on Monday and Tuesday for their 34th Annual Literary Luncheon! She would love to see you there! PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY is home after an incredible paperback tour (she is still unpacking). This week she’ll be in Richmond, VA for a speaking engagement and then off for a family trip to South Carolina to celebrate her birthday over the weekend. Last Sunday, she attended a celebration of Birmingham’s Notable Women through the ages and Patti was honored to be one of them! Next to gold medal winners and pioneers in medicine, she felt humbled. On the work front, next year’s book is off to the copy editor and Patti might or might not be refreshing her email looking for it to show up so she can dive back in (she can’t wait to tell you all about it).
