Tune in at 7pm ET tonight for this week’s episode!
On Wednesday, April 1st at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel we will re-air one of our favorite episodes from the vault! Join us as Kristy, Patti & Mary Kay talk to our own Kristin Harmel about her 2025 instant NYT-bestseller, The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau—about two jewel thieves, a priceless bracelet that disappears in 1940s Paris, and a quest for answers in a decades-old murder—which is out in paperback this week.
One of the founders and hosts of Friends & Fiction, Kristin is the New York Times, USA Today, and #1 internationally bestselling author of more than a dozen novels, including The Forest of Vanishing Stars and The Book of Lost Names, whose books are published in more than thirty languages and are sold all over the world. On June 11th of last year, the Fab Four gathered to celebrate the launch of Kristin’s The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau, a book that Hazel Gaynor called a “dazzling diamond of a novel,” and which instantly debuted on the New York Times bestseller list. Now is the perfect time to re-air this episode as the book releases in paperback on March 31st. We hope you will tune in for this chat, now with a brand-new intro recorded by Kristin herself.
Watch the video broadcast of this interview as it airs on Wed 4/1 at 7pm ET on the F&F Facebook group page & YouTube channel. Catch the audio version on our podcast Fri 4/3.

MARY KAY ANDREWS was on Tybee time last week, taking long walks, puttering around Ebbtide, her family’s beach house there. (Did you know you and your bffs can rent MKA’s beach houses? Go here for the deets) She also started research for her next book—a sequel to her 2019 novel Sunset Beach. She took a quick trip down to St. Simons Island to catch up with old friends, and stopped in at her fave local bookstore there, G.J. Ford Booksellers, where she signed stock, including copies of Summers at the Saint, which is set there. She and Kristy loved chatting with international bestseller Tana French, whose new novel, The Keeper, is just out. Watch that F&F show coming u in a couple weeks on Wednesday, April 15th.
KRISTIN HARMEL spent an amazing week in Amelia Island, FL, where she was speaking at a corporate function; she used the downtime as a mini-writing retreat and is so happy to have gotten a lot of work done. She also had the chance to pop into two independent bookstores that the F&F community loves: Story & Song (where she signed some books!) and The Book Loft, which she visited when her husband and son came up for the weekend. She had a great week (and some great early morning walks on the beach before starting to write) but is happy to be home, back in the swing of things. This week, she’s excited about the launch of Artemis 2 (she can often see rockets and shuttles heading into orbit from her front yard, since she’s only about 50 miles west of Kennedy Space Center) and about the paperback release of THE STOLEN LIFE OF COLETTE MARCEAU, which came out yesterday! She wishes the F&F community a joyous Passover, a happy Easter and (a week late!) a blessed Eid.
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY cannot even believe that SUMMER STATE OF MIND’s release is only a little more than a month away–and she leaves on tour one month from yesterday! Her special preorder with Nantucket Books is almost sold out! So, if you want to snag your free “My Summer is Booked with KWH” notebook, “Live Your Story” magnet, and Summer State of Mind Bookmark, don’t wait to preorder! She can’t wait to see you all on tour. In fact, she’s giving away tickets over on her Instagram today, so don’t miss that! For full tour details, visit her website. Until then, enjoy this fabulous spring weather!
PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY spent an incredible week with a few friends in the Caribbean where she started working on her copy edits for next year’s book! Title and deets coming sooooon. Sometimes unplugging for a few days is the ticket to new ideas, and she was happy for it. Has Patti told you that she’s learned how to play Mahjong! Anyone else on the bandwagon? She’s loving it (and totally frustrated by it!). Wait, that sounds just like writing. Her backyard is blooming with dogwoods, azaleas, and cherry blossoms, proving once again why spring is Patti’s favorite season.
