Join us LIVE with May Cobb TONIGHT
Weekly News from Friends & Fiction—November 4, 2026
Join us on Wednesday, November 4th LIVE at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as Kristy, Kristin, & MKA welcome USA Today bestselling author May Cobb to discuss our November 2026 Pick of the Month, her “sexy, scandalous and completely addictive” (Mary Kubica) new novel All the Little Secrets, the highly anticipated follow-up to her instantly bestselling January 2026 release, All the Little Houses.
May is the bestselling author of six novels including My Summer Darlings, A Likeable Woman, Big Woods, and The Hunting Wives, which was adapted last year as a Netflix series, quickly climbing to the platform’s No.1 spot, with its second season set to release on Thanksgiving. With an M.A. from San Francisco State University, May’s essays and interviews have appeared in The Washington Post, Good Housekeeping, and Texas Highways, and her books have received attention from Book of the Month, the Today Show, and O Magazine. She joins us from her home in Austin, TX to discuss All the Little Secrets, the deliciously wicked stand-alone sequel to All the Little Houses, as the fallout from an utterly unexpected death reverberates over every margarita and through every pine-lined street in Longview.
Watch the LIVE video broadcast of this interview as it airs on Wed 11/4 at 7pm ET on the F&F Facebook group page & YouTube channel. Catch the audio version on our podcast Fri 11/6.
Meanwhile, order May’s book — along with all our guests’ and hosts’ books — at a discount in our F&F Shop on Bookshop.org where your purchases support our show and indie bookstores nationwide!

Latest News from the Fab Four!
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY had a wonderful weekend in Alexandria, VA celebrating Halloween with her family. A little different from Beaufort, but still so beautiful! She is editing away on her 2027 novel, and can’t wait to share EVERYTHING so soon! Coming up, she will be in High Point, NC November 13 at 7 pm, and would love, love to see you there! With Halloween behind us and Thanksgiving to look forward to, now is the perfect time to pick up her cozy, fall novel Falling for Peachtree Bluff if you haven’t yet! (Kristy would also like to point out that she also had quite a depressing Halloween with the Tar Heels losing to #1 ranked Miami by three points… Sigh.. Kristin, we can start a support group!)
PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY had the most glorious trip to Washington, DC visiting a friend and then interviewing Bonnie Garmus about her newest Peck and Peck at Politics and Prose. Then she spent a glorious week in the NC mountains in the place where her April 2027 novel, Heart of the Wild is set. She was inspired and brainstormed so many ideas for events and much more! She also received her last pass pages of Heart of the Wild and this is the last time she will read it all the way through and check for mistakes (AGHGHHGH) before it goes to print! She also sent out a newsletter this week – did you catch it?
MARY KAY ANDREWS is patting herself on the back for getting all the Halloween decor taken down on the dot of November 1, and stored in the basement, all while furtively snacking on the leftover Peanut M&Ms. She’s making to-do lists and holding herself accountable to a semi-strict writing and walking schedule. Reading Jennifer E. Smith’s Rabbit, Rabbit for an upcoming F&F episode, and listening to the audio of Mary Beth Keane’s shatteringly beautiful Whale Harbor while walking because our Patti Callahan Henry insisted—and she was right. In between all that writing and reading and walking, MKA has been haunting estate sales and Facebook Marketplace for furniture for the new adorable circa 1910 home her son and daughter-in-law just purchased in Americus, GA. You can peep her finds on her social media.
KRISTIN HARMEL tuned in for one heck of a depressing football game on Saturday as her Florida Gators lost big-time to MKA’s Georgia Bulldogs! (She is totally game for joining Kristy’s college football support group.) And this was mere days after the Tampa Bay Rays (who Kristin was rooting for) lost the World Series! To cap it all off, her fantasy football quarterback, Lamar Jackson, lasted just one play in his Sunday game before injuring his thumb, so Kristin lost at fantasy football this week, too. Not a good week for sports in her household! On the upside, she got lots of words written, had a great chat with Madeline Martin at Barnes & Noble, and got to walk in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer annual walk in downtown Orlando on Saturday morning—and that evening she took her son Noah and his friends out trick-or-treating!
