KRISTIN HARMEL spent a quiet weekend with her family, celebrating the end of her son’s first week of 5th grade. She’s back at it this week, with book tour appearances in Margate City, NJ tomorrow night and Council Bluffs, Iowa on Monday night. She’s also back to work on her 2028 novel. She’s looking forward to welcoming Karin Slaughter to the show tonight; she has been devouring The Secrets We Hide, and Karin is always an awesome guest.
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY had the best day ever giving the convocation speech at her alma mater, UNC Chapel Hill. She is getting so excited about her Falling for Peachtree Bluff tour. Several of the events are close to selling out, so make sure to take a peek at her schedule!
PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY wrote a whole batch of letters to Indie bookstores to go out with her Heart of the Wild galleys! She is so thrilled that one of the many steps to publication is here. She spent much of her week in SC with a dear friend who had never been to Savannah and they did all the great tourist things including rewatching Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and then taking a tour of the fascinating Mercer Williams house (where that crazy story takes place), visiting E. Shaver Books, gobbling Leopold Ice Cream in the 97 degree heat, and eating at the famous Mrs. Wilkes boarding house. Now Patti is home and so excited about diving back into her new work. MARY KAY ANDREWS returned home from an amazing five-day mountaintop writing retreat with her head finally, fully in the world of her new book.
