Jesse Q. Sutanto holds a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Oxford and lives in Indonesia with her husband, two daughters, and a ridiculously large extended family. MARY KAY ANDREWS handed in first-pass (this means the manuscript has been copy-edited and pages are typeset) for her summer novel ROAD TRIP, (#preordernowdammit) and is clearing the decks to start working on her next novel—and also procrastinating shoveling out her office. KRISTIN HARMEL had a fabulous holiday weekend—which included seeing our very own Shaun Hettinger (our longtime Friends & Fiction producer) and fellow author friend Sarah McCoy! She’s finishing up the audiobook of Paula McLain’s Skylark (in time for next week’s LIVE Friends & Fiction show) and she’s just deep into the research of her own next novel (coming in 2027 or 2028), which spans the first half of the twentieth century (so there’s lotsssssss of reading to be done!). More on that soon! KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY Kristy is having the best (warm!) week in one of her favorite places, Palm Beach! You might have heard her say that her forthcoming novel Summer State of Mind is not a sequel to Under the Southern Sky, but two of the secondary characters are protagonists of the new book. Under the Southern Sky starts in Palm Beach and Summer State of Mind ends in it, which feels particularly fun! Wishing you all a wonderful week!
