Meanwhile, she’s enjoying the holiday week in South Carolina with a housefull, and hoping for a bit of downtime to read (good luck with that, Patti). MARY KAY ANDREWS is gobbling up all the fresh homegrown ‘maters from Mr. MKA’s garden, and trying to foist auxiliary zucchini off on unsuspecting strangers. There’s a brief lull before the storm when Boomerang Boy and his crew—including mama dog and three puppies—return back for the Fourth of July festivities, including but not limited to the neighborhood parade, a BBQ, and plenty of time at the community pool. KRISTIN HARMEL had an amazing time celebrating the launch of Kristy’s A HAPPIER LIFE with Kristy, Patti, Mary Kay, Meg, and Ron (and a whole bunch of Friends & Fiction friends) in St. Louis last week. She brought her husband and son on the trip, and they had a great time going to the top of the Gateway Arch, attending a Cardinals game, taking a tour to see the Budweiser Clydesdales at Anheuser Busch, visiting a winery, the zoo, and the science museum, and seeing both sets of Noah’s great-grandparents! Now she’s off to Disney World for the 4th of July!
