Tune in at 7pm ET for TONIGHT’s episode! Join us Wednesday, December 11th at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as Kristy Woodson Harvey and Patti Callahan Henry welcome the USA Today and internationally bestselling author Jillian Cantor to discuss her new historical novel, The Greatest Lie of All, in which a glamorous romance novelist and an aspiring starlet share an unexpected secret. Jillian Cantor is the USA Today and internationally bestselling author of twelve novels for teens and adults, including, most recently The Fiction Writer. Her books have been chosen for LibraryReads, Indie Next and Amazon Best of the Month, and have been translated into fifteen languages. Jillian joins us from her home in Arizona to chat about her thirteenth novel, The Greatest Lie of All, an addictive story about love, ambition, and how far we're willing to go to protect our hearts. The book has been called “Jillian Cantor at her absolute best,” by Allison Winn Scotch, “propulsively paced,” by Shelf Awareness, and “irresistibly juicy, twisty, and layered,” by Annabel Monaghan—and we can’t wait to talk to Jillian all about it. Watch the video broadcast of this interview as it airs Wed 12/11 at 7pm ET on the F&F Facebook group page & YouTube channel. Catch the audio version on our podcast Fri 12/13. Latest News from the Fab Four!PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY loved interviewing Jillian Cantor for this week’s show – you’ll love meeting her and hearing about her new novel. Patti has been working hard on a new idea, some essays for The Story She Left Behind, and of course preparing for Christmas. Among her preparations, she believes she has found the UGLIEST Christmas sweater of all time and she will win the FF contest on December 18th. OH! And on December 16th Patti will be announcing her 2025 book tour! Stay tuned, sign up for her newsletter and hopefully she’ll be coming to a city near you. KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY enjoyed the loveliest Beaufort weekend full of parties, the parade, the flotilla… All her favorite things! And TONIGHT is the Christmas in Peachtree Bluff dinner at Beaufort Grocery Company and tomorrow is the annual Christmas in Peachtree Bluff bus tour! Hooray! Also, she will be at Raleigh Durham International Airport’s Holiday Market 12/19 from 12:30-2 pm. If you happen to be flying, come say hi! If not, she’ll be signing loads of books, so the airport’s Hudson Books will be stocked with signed copies for months to come! She is also attempting to get a clean 1st-ish draft of her 2026 novel to her editor before the holiday break begins on December 19. Can she do it? Has she lost her mind? (Definitely to the second, strong maybe to the first!) KRISTIN HARMEL spent a lovely weekend with her husband and 8-year-old son over at Disney World; they love doing one-night staycations, and this one (staying at Coronado Springs, with visits to Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course) was the perfect blend of relaxation and activity as they enjoyed all the holiday decorations at the hotel and parks–and played family board games before dinner both nights! Kristin is just as convinced as Patti is that she will be this year’s Friends & Fiction Ugly Sweater Contest winner. Her sweater is actually the opposite of ugly – but it is completely ridiculous, and, dare she say it, perfect for the F&F crowd. You have been warned. MARY KAY ANDREWS survived a whirlwind week — hosting her book club’s Christmas party, traveling to Savannah for a book signing, (she left lots of signed books behind at Tybee Island’s Seaside Sisters,) and then to Americus, Georgia where she got to see an adorable community theater presentation of ELF, The Musical, with her bonus grandson Gill making his stage debut as one of the elves. On Saturday night MKA’s lucky socks helped her UGA Dawgs to an overtime win in the SEC championship game. On Sunday she was in conversation with Atlanta author Vanessa Riley, discussing Vanessa’s latest novel, Murder in Berkeley Square, at her neighborhood bookstore, The Book Bird of Avondale Estates. This Sunday MKA will have her last book signing of the year at the Avondale Estates Holiday Market. She’ll be there from 12-3pm, signing and smiling with books for sale by The Book Bird.
