Tune in at 7pm ET for TONIGHT’s episode! Join us Wednesday, January 22nd at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel as Mary Kay Andrews & Ron Block welcome #1 New York Times bestselling master of the legal thriller, Scott Turow, to discuss his riveting new courtroom drama, Presumed Guilty, which sees the return of Rusty Sabich from Presumed Innocent, the phenomenon that redefined the genre. A writer and former practicing lawyer, Scott Turow is the author of 13 bestselling works of fiction, including Presumed Innocent and Suspect. Scott has also published two nonfiction books, including the perennial bestseller, One L, about his experience as a Harvard Law student. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages, sold more than 30-million copies worldwide, and have been adapted into movies and television projects. Recently, Presumed Innocent was the basis for Apple TV+’s most-watched drama series ever, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Scott joins us to discuss his new novel, Presumed Guilty, in which Rusty returns to court one last time to defend his fiancé’s son and to find out whether the system to which he has devoted his life can ever provide true justice for those who are presumed guilty. Latest News from the Fab Four!PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY had the best time at Wild Dunes with Kwame Alexander, Mary Alice, and her old friend, the poet Marjory Wentorth for the Readers Weekend. So good to see so many of the F&F family and book club. She is back to writing and prepping for the release of The Story She Left Behind in eight weeks! KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY is waiting for edits back on her 2026 manuscript and is working on—in the words of Mary Kay Andrews—a secret project! And, believe it or not, Beaufort is expecting lots of snow this week! It only happens once every seven years or so, so she is so excited. She just finished an early copy of Nicola Harrison’s The Island Club, and totally loved it. It’s not out until 2026, but it’s definitely a must-read! Next up, this really cool author named Kristin Harmel sent her an advance copy of The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau, and she is so excited! KRISTIN HARMEL was so sad to miss hanging out with Patti, Mary Alice Monroe, Brenda, Lisa, the book club, and the many Friends & Fiction members who attended Mary Alice’s annual Wild Dunes Author Weekend! She’s still stuck at home with a broken leg; she won’t be weight-bearing for at least another six weeks. While she’s laid up, she’s trying to catch up on books she has promised to blurb, and she’s working on her next novel each day (and counting down the days to the release of The Stolen Life of Colette Marceau this June!). MARY KAY ANDREWS has been watching old movies (O Brother Where Art Thou—forgot how fabulously funny George Clooney was in that) cooking up a storm with all this winter weather hitting Atlanta; chicken noodle soup, slow cooker creamy basil tomato soup, tortellini . . . and yes, trying to get back in the writing groove.
